Base Stat - The first of the two statistical criteria required to score Sim goals in the various on-field positions. Also used as the qualifying criterion for the Corridor positions. Bid - An order used to indicate the amount of money to be spent to sign/purchase a Player In Dispute. Bonus Multiplier - The second of the two statistical criteria required to score Sim goals in the various on-field positions. Buy - An order used to sign/purchase either a Free Agent or an Uncontracted Player - BuyFA or BuyUP. Coach - Aligned to each AFL coach. Sim coach can score up to 5 goals depending on performance of counterpart's team. Also an order used to purchase an available coach, which results in automatic forfeiture of current coach. Contract - An order used to guard a signed player against a BuyUP order (poach) from another club. Contract Pool - Shown on the Results Page. The total value of the contracts a club has entered into for the current season. Cost - Contract Pool $ x .0015 per week. Corridor - The Sim positions of FB, CHB, CNT, CHF, FF, RK, RR & RV. Corridor positions can score up to 4 goals each, but require the selected player to qualify. Deal - An agreement between 2 or more clubs. Has no official status. Delist - An order used to remove a player from a club's squad. Club receives $25,000. DNP - Did Not Play. Used on a Matchsheet to indicate a selected player who didn't play in the corresponding AFL round. ENR - Emergency Not Required. Used on a Matchsheet to indicate a selected emergency player was not needed. FA - Free Agent. A player who has not been signed by any club. Used with the Buy order - BuyFA. Gate Receipts - The income a club receives from each home-and-away match or finals round. HGA - Home Ground Advantage. The home side in each Sim home-and-away round receives 2 goals HGA. ITR - In The Red. Used to describe a club with a bank balance below $0. Clubs that are ITR cannot make any orders which involve spending money. List - The group of players owned by a club. Also known as Squad. Market - An order used to purchase members. One member costs $100. Masterlist - Lists every AFL player and his stats from the previous year, his current Sim club, and Contract status. Match Attendance - The combined Memberships of the 2 clubs competing in a match. Match Receipts - The total income generated by an individual Sim match. Matchsheet - The page which shows the individual stats and Sim scores of each player selected in a given Sim match. Membership - The number of members a club has at any given time. A club gains 200 members when it wins, and loses 2% of it's membership when it loses. Message Board - The on-line Sim forum where messages, comments and questions are published for all to see. (And reply to, if so desired.) NFAAT - No Funds Available At Time. Used on the Results Page to indicate a particular order was not executed because the club concerned was In The Red at the time. OOM Value - Order Of Merit Value. A player's monetary value, used to calculate the player's wages and contract cost. The total OOM Value of all players in a squad is the Squad Value. OOM Value is based on the player's average stats from his previous AFL season. PAS - Player Already Selected. Used on a Matchsheet to indicate the same player was selected in more than one position. Passed In - A Player In Dispute is Passed In and reverts to a Free Agent if none of the clubs involved in the dispute make a bid in the week following the dispute. Pay - An order used to transfer money from one club to another, usually to facilitate a deal. PID - Player In Dispute. A player who has been nominated by more than one club, either in a draft or as a Buy order. PNQ - Player Not Qualified. Used on Matchsheets to show players not qualified to play in the Corridor position selected. Poach - A term used to describe the buying of an uncontracted player from another club via the BuyUP order. Has no official status. Qualify, Qualified - Terms referring to the requirement of a player to possess average stats of at least the Base Stat of a Corridor position in order to be selected there. Results Page - The page that shows the results of each round, the current ladder, orders processed, Membership, Contract Pool, Squad Value and other relevant information. Salary Cap - The maximum amount allowable for a club's Squad Value - currently $10,000,000. Player movements that would involve a breach of the Salary Cap are voided. SFL - Sim Football League. The governing body. The equivalent of the AFL commission. Sign, Signed - General terms to indicate the recruitment of a player to a club's squad/list by drafting or buying. Sim - An abbreviation of Sim Football, the Aussie Rules game for the Connoisseur. The best game in the world. SOR - State Of Origin. The selected State teams do battle under Sim conditions. Squad - The group of players owned by a club. Also known as List. Squad Limit - The maximum number of players allowed on a club list, currently 33. Player movements that would involve a breach of the Squad Limit are voided. Squad Value - The combined OOM Value of every player in a squad. Cannot exceed Salary Cap of $10,000,000. Teamsheet - The page each club uses to submit their team selections and orders during the 22 weeks of competition. Transfer - An order used to move a player from one club to another, usually to facilitate a deal. Transfer In - A term used to describe a player who is received from another club via the Transfer order. UP - Uncontracted Player. A player who has been signed by a club but who has not been contracted, and can therefore be bought by another club. Used with the Buy order - BuyUP. Wages - The cost of employing each player in a Squad. Based on 11% of OOM value. Cost - Squad Value $ x .05 per week. |
